Recommended Elective Coursework
All students who plan a career in media should gain foundational knowledge of the field through the core course of this interest area, JOURN 4248/JOURN 7248. Remaining electives can be chosen based on specific interests. For instance, a student who wants to focus on media buying or media sales will be well served to take JOURN 4216/JOURN 7216. A student who is interested in media planning in the digital environment should consider taking one or both of the digital strategy classes. Using their particular interests as a guide will help students choose strategically from the listing of highly suggested and additional electives to consider.
