An important role of our faculty is to provide mentoring and guidance to each of our students. Upon admission to the program, every strategic communication student is assigned an official faculty advisor. It’s common for new strategic communication students to be unsure of their career options, and a faculty advisor can be a great resource for sorting through the possibilities based on a student’s talents, skills and personality traits.
A student’s faculty advisor is available to answer a multitude of questions, from what it’s like to work in a certain area of the industry to what electives will best prepare students for their chosen career path. If a student has interests outside the advisor’s area of expertise, he or she can recommend another faculty member to provide guidance.
To contact your faculty advisor, it is suggested students email to set up an appointment. Students unsure of who their faculty advisor is can ask their academic advisor to look up the information in their file.
